Cathy has always been passionate about children's issues, art, the environment, equity, social justice, and youth sports. She has practiced environmental law, run a mediation training service, taught college courses, coached soccer, founded a tuition-free school for girls from low-income backgrounds, and coached swimmers and triathletes. 

A big thinker who likes tackling challenges with creative passion, Cathy immerses herself completely in her projects. When not writing or coaching, she enjoys swimming, hiking, traveling, painting, puzzling, and reading.
